Work Location

This is an onsite position at our office location.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain data pipelines using AWS services (S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift, Athena)
  • Implement data workflows and orchestration using Dagster
  • Develop ETL/ELT processes for data integration and transformation
  • Ensure data quality and implement data validation processes
  • Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to understand data requirements
  • Monitor and optimize data pipeline performance
  • Maintain documentation for data processes and systems
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices
  • Support data infrastructure and troubleshoot data issues
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions
  • Mentoring junior engineers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 2-4 years of professional experience in data engineering
  • Hands-on experience with AWS data services (S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift)
  • Working knowledge of Dagster for workflow orchestration
  • Strong Python programming skills for data processing
  • Experience with SQL and database technologies
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline development
  • Familiarity with data modeling and data warehousing concepts
  • Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD practices
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with Apache Spark or PySpark
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Familiarity with data streaming technologies (Kinesis, Kafka)
  • Experience with Docker and containerization
  • Knowledge of Apache Airflow or other orchestration tools
  • Understanding of data governance and security practices
  • Experience with NoSQL databases
