Work Location
This is an onsite position at our office location.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain data pipelines using AWS services (S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift, Athena)
 - Implement data workflows and orchestration using Dagster
 - Develop ETL/ELT processes for data integration and transformation
 - Ensure data quality and implement data validation processes
 - Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to understand data requirements
 - Monitor and optimize data pipeline performance
 - Maintain documentation for data processes and systems
 - Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices
 - Support data infrastructure and troubleshoot data issues
 - Work with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions
 - Mentoring junior engineers
 
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
 - 2-4 years of professional experience in data engineering
 - Hands-on experience with AWS data services (S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift)
 - Working knowledge of Dagster for workflow orchestration
 - Strong Python programming skills for data processing
 - Experience with SQL and database technologies
 - Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline development
 - Familiarity with data modeling and data warehousing concepts
 - Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD practices
 - Good problem-solving and analytical skills
 - Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
 
Bonus Skills
- Experience with Apache Spark or PySpark
 - Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
 - Familiarity with data streaming technologies (Kinesis, Kafka)
 - Experience with Docker and containerization
 - Knowledge of Apache Airflow or other orchestration tools
 - Understanding of data governance and security practices
 - Experience with NoSQL databases
